Yesterday we took Noah to have an educational screening so he could begin pre-school! I was absolutely amazed at the stuff he knew. He fell into the 5-6 year old age groups on almost everything, the only part he has problems with is pronouncing certain words. This gave him and I the chance to find out where he needed the most help so we can get to work! He goes back on Oct. 19th for one more speech review and will probably start pre-school right after that. He loved it and cried when we actually had to leave. Hopefully once he starts school he will still be that eager to stay, even though Mommy will probably have more problems with it than he will. Nick tells me I am going to be one of those crazy Mom's who ask to sit in the classroom with their child to make sure they are ok. I must admit I do have some separation issues when it comes to my baby! Plus, I know how mean four year old kids can be and I have learned a few wrestling moves that could take them out fairly easily! All joking aside, I don't feel like we can ever be too serious in wanting to protect our children and I want to do whatever I can to be a great Mom for Noah! I will probably need nerve pills and on occasion a tranquilizer but I think I will manage just fine!
Today, Nick is doing some volunteer work here in Boise for the Albertsons golf tournament that is in town. I am sure that will be so tough for him getting to sit out on a golf course three days this week=) We have also just recently signed up for the Boys and Girls club and will be going in for an orientation at the end of this week. As most of you know last year we made up gift bags for the VA hospital. That was such a great moment to see the look on their faces and sit and listen to their stories. It is such an amazing feeling to know just a moment of your time could change someone's life forever. This year we are planning to do a coat and shoe drive for the homeless shelter here in Boise. I want Noah to know that he may not have everything but he is truly blessed!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday!
